Green Beans Prik Pao
This is the vegetarian version. Alternatively you can use the non vegetarian recipe but use Vegetarian Oyster Sauce.
Serves 1 or 2
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of basil
280g of green beans
1 tablespoon of thin soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon of Golden Mountain Seasoning sauce
4 tbls Chantanee Thai Stir Fry Sauce*
2-3 slices of red bell pepper
1 tablespoon of canola oil
In addition you will need a deep fryer and a suitable amount of oil.
Optional: Several cubes of tofu.
* Chantanee Foods Stir Fry Sauce is available for purchase at both restaurants.
Directions:
1 - Quickly deep fry the green beans in hot oil (approximately 20 seconds)
2 - Add the one tablespoon of canola oil to a wok on medium heat.
3 - Add the green beans to the wok.
4 - Add 4 tablespoons of water to the wok.
5 - Add all the remaining ingredients.
6 - Finally add the basil and continue to stir fry for about a minute.
Optional: Prior to making the green beans steam your tofu. Prepare the green beans and add the tofu in step 5 above.
