We celebrated my wife's birthday at Chantanee on Friday, 3/27. My wife is Thai, and cooks Thai food at home every night. Therefore we have high standards when it comes to Thai food! The food at Chantanee surpassed our expectations - it was one of the best Thai meals we have had outside Thailand. The soups were excellent - including fresh galanga and kaffir line leaves. The Seafood had large fresh scallpos, salmon and green lip mussels, and the red curry sauce that accompanied the grilled duck had a wonderful depth of flavor. Many thanks for a wonderful meal!

We are from Vancouver BC and were vacationing in Seattle for a few days. On April 18 we cycled from our hotel in the U-District to Bothell. We happened upon your restaurant, which seemed to attract the largest lunch crowd along Main Street. What a pleasant surprise!!! Though we are no strangers to Thai food, we can honestly say that you have the most delicious dishes we have tasted anywhere. The ambiance of your restaurant is very classy, your servers impressed us with their friendliness and efficient service. The discovery of Pen restaurant was truly one of the highlites of our trip.

My 6 year old daughter's favorite place to go eat is not fast food any longer- she only wants to go to Pen Thai or Chantanee! I echo her feelings- they are both very kid friendly, remember her every time she comes in, and have very fast service! Without a doubt, they both have absolutely the best Thai food there is- I love the Crispy Garlic Chicken!

It has been 3 years since we had such high quality Thai food. While visiting in Bothell for three weeks, our son-in-law and daughter took us to the Pen Thai, what a nice surprise, the food, service, everything was spectacular, we had to go back several times while we were there.
